Deadline 10 is a powerful software tool for calculating and managing the rendering process that provides engineers, artists, architects and users with many options and facilities for this purpose.

It supports over 70 different software applications including 3ds Max, Maya, Modo, AutoCAD, Rhino, engineering software and even energy applications such as EnergyPlus and Bentley MicroStation, and its plugins are available in Python.

Are development. Additionally, it has over 60 different rendering packages including Jigsaw, and with the VMX feature (virtual machine development), it allows users to render publicly or individually on cloud services, servers Or personal devices.

The software is capable of computing and rendering operations on cloud services such as Google Cloud and Amazon Web Service.

Here are some key features of “Deadline v10.0.25.2”:

  • Supports over 70 different software applications
  • Has more than 60 different render packages
  • VMX features for general and private face
  • Rendering on cloud services, servers or personal devices
  • Ability to compute and render cluster of any size
  • Plugin development with Python language
  • Perform render operations on cloud services such as Google Cloud and Amazon Web Service

System Requirement

  • This section covers the system requirements for all the Deadline components.

    Database
Deadline uses MongoDB for the database, and requires minimum MongoDB version 3.2.12 and maximum 3.2.18. The Repository installer can install the MongoDB database for you, or you can use an existing MongoDB installation.

The following operating systems are supported when installing MongoDB through the Repository Installer:
    – Windows Server 2008 R2 and later (64-bit only)

    Note
Please AVOID non-server-based OS such as Vista, 7, 8, or 10. Windows Web Server 2008 R2 is also not supported as Kernel32.dll is missing AcquireSRWLockExclusive () that MongoDB requires.

    – Linux (64-bit only)
    – Ubuntu 12.04 and later
    – Debian 7 and later
    – CentOS 6 and later
    – RHEL 6 and later
    – Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) and later (64-bit only)

If you are manually installing MongoDB, please refer to the MongoDB Supported Platforms.

These are the minimum hardware requirements for a production database:
    – 64-bit Architecture
    – 8 GB RAM
    – 4 cores
    – RAID or SSD drive
    – 20 GB disk space

Note that MongoDB performs best if all the data fit into RAM, and it has fast disk write speeds. In addition, larger farms may have to scale up RAM and Cores as needed, or even look at Sharding their database.

    Notes for Windows
If you choose a non-Server Windows operating system (Vista, 7, 8, or 10) to host the database, you should be aware that these operating systems have a TCP / IP connection limit of 10 new connections per second. If your render farm consists of more than 10 machines, it is very likely that you will hit this limit every now and then (and the odds will continue to increase as the number of machines increase). This is a limitation of the operating systems, and we can not work that way, so we recommend using Windows Server Edition or a different operating system like Linux.
