ESI NOVA 2020 is another ESI product, specialized and advanced software to design and optimize the acoustic properties of multilayer materials independently or adhered to structures under different excitations. This software helps engineers optimize the acoustic absorption of materials and minimize sound loss during transmission. This software has two main modules which include high, medium, and low frequencies and the tests you want to be run accordingly. The high and medium frequency module performs calculations based on the matrix transfer method taking into account the effects of small size, while the low-frequency module works based on the finite element numerical methods (FEM) and Boundary element (BEM) and becomes more for porous materials such as preforms elastic and rigid materials are used.
